The following stretches are designed to be performed in a loose, relaxed fashion—no hard pulling or pushing, no straining to get that last inch of stretch in the muscles. As we discovered in Chapter 4, this includes keeping the elbows bent, the shoulders re- laxed, the head upright, knees slightly bent, and the pelvis tilted slightly forward and upward.
