I just published a new article in the Journal of African History
- The History of African Poverty by Numbers: Evidence and Vantage Points. The Journal of African History, 59(3), 449-461
I have posted by ungated pre-proof version of the article here.
There are excellent contributions to the special forum on poverty in that forum by Rhiannon Stephens (the convenor of the special forum), Jane Guyer, Wayne Dooling and Vincent Bonnecasse. This all came out of an excellent conference organized at Columbia University in 2014. Tells you something about the academic work cycle.
